Program is Under Development
The Clutter Response and Support Network is a multidisciplinary group formed to address the complex and hidden issues associated with hoarding behavior. Its mission is to promote health, safety, and well-being of individuals and communities through collaboration, education, intervention, and support.
Collaboration
Bring together professionals from mental health, social services, government, code enforcement, public health, housing, animal welfare, and other sectors to coordinate compassionate and effective responses.
Education and Awareness
Increase understanding of hoarding as a mental health condition and reduce the stigma associated with it through community outreach and professional training.
Support and Resources
Connect individuals exhibiting hoarding behaviors with supportive services, including counseling, case management, and clean-up assistance.
Policy and Procedure Development
Create clear protocols and best practices for responding to cases in a wat that respects the dignity of the individual while ensuring public safety.
Prevention and Early Detection
Identify at risk individuals early and intervene before hoarding behaviors leads to crisis situations such as eviction, hospitalization, or legal action.
Uniform Data Collection
Develop a common language and data collection protocol to gather and analyze cases-including demographics, service outcomes, recurrence rates, to identify trends, improve interventions, support funding efforts, and guide future planning.
